Dental Medicines during Pandemic.

It's been 4 months since the Pandemic starts to fill the world. Any country wasn't able to prepare for the worst especially our Profession.

As we all know, Dental Procedures involves aerosols that can cause us to be infected of the virus. It was a downfall for us in the first two months of the Pandemic but as we go on with our lives, Dental Professionals was able to adapt the changes and still alive and kicking.

What was the Solution to the Problem?

The Philippine Dental Association was able to come up with Guidelines on how to keep the patient and the Dentist its safety during every Dental Procedures.

Embracing the New Normal

Due to the Pandemic, Strictly by appointment schedule was implemented to all the Dental Clinics. It is also a must to disinfect the whole clinic every after patient. Wearing of PPE's, Goggles, Faceshield etc. becomes our ultimate life saver. And Lastly, proper assessment and thorough screening of each patient is definitely required to prevent the spread of the Virus.

Do you have to worry?

We should Value our health and I must say, we don't have to worry for your dental concerns as long as we follow the protocols. Always remember that Oral Health is essential just like our body. The body needs nutrients and vitamins, the teeth also needs the treatment they need such as Oral exams, Cleaning, restorations and so on. Don't go waste another month not seeing a Dentist, because I believe that Dental Procedures are not expensive, Neglect is.
